Anti-Semitic Attack on Jewish School in Sofia:
Whether by accident or design, vandals chose the International Day for Elimination of Racial Discrimination, March 21, to poison the harmony of Bulgarian society by spraying anti-Semitic graffiti on the walls of the
capital Sofia’s only Jewish school, the Dimcho Debeljanov Jewish School.

8.8 Earthquake hits Chile, ORT Chile Reports from the Field In the very early hours of Saturday morning, a magnitude 8.8 earthquake hit Chile. ORT, which has
been active in Chile for over 50 years, has two headquarters in Santiago where most of Chile's 16,000 Jews live. Early news from Marcelo Lewkow, National Director of ORT Chile indicates the buildings are
still standing, as are local synagogues and schools - but these will have to be inspected and of course, the needs of community members and students will be examined as well. ORT Chile is a critical part of the ORT family and we will do everything we can to help them

Mexico City Officially Begins (March 1, 2010) Today the historic partnership between ORT and Mexico’s oldest Jewish school, Colegio Israelita de Mexico (CIM), began with a ceremony in Mexico City. The partnership
marks the realization of a long-held desire by ORT Mexico to have a school in country, allowing Mexican Jewish students access to ORT’s high-technology based teaching programs.
